Home computing using Linux and the Hurd

This is my home page. This is an attempt to describe my interest in home computing. This has no connection with any company; any opinions here are my own and no garantee as to usefullness is given in any way.

I run both the world's major operating systems; Linux and the hurd. My Linux system is Debian, but I also like Red Hat. I use netscape for browsing and mail; using a simple pppd configuration that can switch between ISPs uklinux and freeserve.

The PC that I use is an accumulation of second hand bits, and parts that were on special offer. The best thing about it are two large slabs of SDRAM giving me 192Mb of memory.

I have worked on operating systems in the past, and have had ambition to work on the Hurd for several years. This is the guide to installing the Hurd.

These are my notes on the above, I found that I needed a little more detail.
